2016-03-13

Bagmati, Kathmandu, Kathmandu

One of the metro buses launched by the Mahanagar Yatayat Private Limited was vandalized earlier Monday, though passengers were not hurt. Mahanagar Yatayat Private Limited launched the metro buses in Kathmandu on Sunday, as it is becoming increasingly difficult to travel in microbuses run by private transporters. The bus (Ba 4 Kha 106) was vandalized at Balkhu Chowk, informed the police. The police said they are investigating the incident. According to the police, the window panes of the buses are broken. The driver's help, Narayan Prasad Subedi said nobody was hurt in the incident. Madhusudhan Adhikari, the Chairman of Mahanagar Yatayat Private Limited, said the police were informed immediately after the incident. Police suspect that transport syndicates might have vandalized the bus as they are opposing the move of the Mahanagar Yatayat Private Limited.
