ASI Baijnath Yadab of the temporary police post in Dayaniya VDC has been arrested on October 16 on charge of trying to rape a 30-year-old woman of Dayaniya5.

According to Area Police Office Rangeli, the accused had tried to rape the woman after entering into her house. Locals had called police after she screamed for help. Police had arrested Yadab from the spot.

Inspector Dhajendra Bahadur Karki of APO Rangeli said that ASI Yadab had been sent to Disrict Police Office in Biratnagar for investigation. He added that the police had not received any written complaints.
