A policeman who went to settle a dispute between the villagers from Dadeldhura District Jail was attacked on Saturday at Jiloda village near Kirtipur Bazaar of Amargadhi Municipality – 5. Police Head Constable Jagadish Pant, and Constable Padam Bogati were injured in the attack, said District Police Office (DPO), Dadeldhura. Dhane Tamrakar, 40, who was involved in the brawl with the villagers, suddenly attacked with the sharp weapon, said Head Constable, Pant. Pant is undergoing treatment at Sub Regional Hospital in Dadeldhura while constable Bogati with deep cuts in his hands was rushed to Nepalgunj. Tamrakar is currently under custody with the district police. An investigation will be launched into the matter and legal action will be initiated, said police.
