The District Court of Taplejung has ordered to sentence Sher Bahadur Limbu,44 of Taplejung municipality-6 for seven years along with Rs 100,000 as a compensation to the victim on July 10 on the charge of raping a 14-years-old girl. A single bench of District Court judge Ashok Kumar Basnet has given a verdict regarding the case. The victim’s mother had lodged a complaint at District Police Office on April 10 accusing him of raping a girl on April 6. The accused was remanded in custody on May 5 and hearing of the case was on July 10.
