Police accused of not registering complaint of untouchability

[Updated] The victim, Pramila B.K,35 of Sunderdulari-7, Gachiya has accused police administration of denying registering her complaint of untouchability. According to the victim, she was severely beaten by Mandira Gurung, Ranjana Gurung and Maya Rai on June 7. The victim had tried to lodge a complaint of untouchability at District Police Office of Morang on July 26 however the police denied registering it. She complained to police of being unfair. The victim had lodged an FIR however police denied registering it. She further complained that she has been beaten based on caste discrimination and demanded registering a case under caste discrimination and untouchability Act-2068. Gopal Lakandri, central vice-president of Dalit NGO federation said that the case will be taken to National Dalit Commission and court if police denied registering it.
