An elderly man died after he was attacked by his villager with Khurpa, a grass digging tool with sharp blade and wooden handle, in Gorkha district on Monday evening. The deceased has been identified as Pitambar Nepali (60) of Mauwaswanra, Harmi VDC-9 in the district. According to Gorkha District Police Office, local Jit Bahadur Bhandari (49), grabbed khurpa which was in Nepali’s hand and then attacked him, that fatally wounded in the neck. The preliminary investigation points to the dispute between Nepali and Bhandari as the cause of the attack, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Birendra Thapa. Nepali breathed his last while being rushed to a hospital added DSP. Meanwhile, police have arrested Bhandari for further investigation. खुर्पा प्रहार गरी हत्या गरेको अभियोगमा हर्मी–९ पौवाश्वारा बस्ने ४९ वर्षीय जितबहादुर भण्डारीलाई प्रहरीले खुर्पा सहित पक्राउ गरेको छ । भण्डारी र सोही ठाउँ बस्ने ५९ वर्षीय पिताम्बर नेपाली बीच सोमबार व्यक्तिगत कुरालाई लिएर सामान्य बिबाद हुदाँ भण्डरीले नेपालीको घाँटीमा खुर्पा प्रहार गर्दा घटनास्थलमै मृत्यु भएको थियो । यस सम्बन्धमा प्रहरीले आवश्यक अनुसन्धान गरिरहेको छ ।
