A victim’s father Saran Acharya,52 of Chaurjahari Municipality-2 has lodged a complaint at National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on September 1 against police for torturing his 32-year-old son Mahesh Kumar Acharya over a normal dispute. The victim’s father said that his son was arrested by the Area Police Office of Churjahari on August 22 over a normal land dispute between two brothers and tortured by the police. He demanded action against inspector Pushpa Kamal Shrestha of Area Police Office and DSP Rupesh Khadka of DPO who were involved in the incident. The victim’s party have lodged complaint at NHRC through E-mail. The victim Mahesh is in custody at District Police Office. According to the police he was arrested and case is lodged against him under public offence Act. DSP Rupesh could not be contacted. In recent days, in the district, there has been increment in incidents of torture inside custody. चौरजहारी नपा-२ का ३२ वर्षीय महेशकुमार आर्चायलाई प्रहरीले सामान्य विवादमा गिरफ्तार गरी यातना दिएको भन्दै पीडितका बुवा ५२ वर्षीय शरण आर्चायले राष्ट्रिय मानव अधिकार आयोगको क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय नेपालगञ्जमा भदौ १६ गते उजुरी दिएका छन् । भाइभाइ बीचमा अंशसम्बन्धी छलफल हुँदा विवाद भएपछि इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय चौरजहारीका प्रहरीले महेशलाई भदौ ६ गते गिरफ्तार गरी कुटपिट गरेको भन्दै उक्त घटनामा संलग्न प्रहरीलाई कानुनी कारबाहीको माग गर्दै आयोगमा उजुरी दिएको पीडितका बावुले बताएका छन् । पीडित पक्षले आयोगमा इमेलमार्फ उजुरी दर्ता गरेको पीडितका बावु शरणले बताए । प्रहरीले गिरफ्तार गरेपछि लट्ठीले पिट्दै, शरीरका कपडा खोलेर हिँडन लगाएको पीडितका बुवाले आरोप लगाएका छन् । जिल्लामा सबैसँग न्यायका लागि अनुरोध गरे, कसैले सहयोग नगरेपछि इलाका प्रहरी कार्यालय चौरजहारीका इञ्चार्ज इन्स्पेक्टर पुष्पकमल श्रेष्ठ र जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका डीएसपी रुपेश खड्कालाई कारबाहीको माग गर्दै आयोगमा उजुरी दर्ता गरेको उनले बताए । महेश जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय रुकुमको हिरासतमा छन् । प्रहरीका अनुसार महेशले सार्वजनिक ठाउँमा आफन्तलाई कुटेकाले सार्वजनिक अपराध अन्तर्गत मुद्दा चलाइएको छ । यस विषयमा जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालयका प्रमुख डीएसपी रुपेश खड्कासँग सम्पर्क हुन सकेन । केही समय यता जिल्ला प्रहरी कार्यालय रुकुमले आरोपितलाई हिरासतमा कुटपिट गर्ने तथा यातना दिने गरेको आरोपहरू बढेका छन् ।
