News: Gorkha/Nov 8, Sthaaniya taha sifaris garda Barpak lai Sulikot gaupalika ma rakhiyeko birodh ma Barpak ka sthaaniya dwara birodh pradarshan. Locals of Barpak have protested against the merging of Barpak with Sulikot village assembly under the local level restructuring. They have also protested against the separation of places like Laprak, Gumdaa, Laapu, Uhiya, Kerauj and Kashigaau which are the ancestral places of Tamund. They demanded that all those VDCs should be brought together under Dharche village unit. The meeting of the Local Level Restructuring Technical Assistance Committee held on Sunday had decided to shift Barpak from 12 number area to 9 number. Barpak along with Swaara, Saurpani, Takukot, Takumajh, Lakuribot, Pandrung and Panchkhuwa have been proposed to be a part of Sulikot village unit. People have urged to boycott the decision that was taken without any consensus of the local people.
