Free Students Union on Tuesday padlocked the Office of the Dean, Administration and Campus Chief of Institute of Medicine demanding removal of reserve quota for Post Graduate degree at IOM. FSU has claimed that the reserve quota system has been allegedly misused. IOM FSU President Milan Gaire said that the reserve quota at PG should be removed as the intended individuals do not have access to it and has thereby been misused. Gaire urged that the capable and talented candidates should be nominated in PG degree as it is sensitive in medical sector. He also warned to launch stern agitation if their demands are not headed. चिकित्साशास्त्र अध्ययन संस्थान (आइओएम) मा चिकित्सा शिक्षाको विशेषज्ञ तह (पोस्ट ग्राजुएट पिजी) कोटामा व्यवस्था भएको आरक्षण कोटा हटाउन माग गर्दै डिन, आर्थिक प्रशासन र क्याम्पस प्रमुखको कार्यालयमा विद्यार्थीले आज तालाबन्दी गरेका छन् । आइओएमका स्वतन्त्र विद्यार्थी युनियनले पिजी कोटामा आरक्षण दिँदा त्यसको दुरुपयोग भएकाले आरक्षण कोटा हटाउन माग गर्दै तालाबन्दी गरेको जनाएको छ । आइओएम स्ववियुका अध्यक्ष मिलन गैरेले भने, ‘‘पिजी अध्ययन गर्नु भनेको विशेषज्ञ तह हो । एमविविएस पढेका कोही पनि विपन्न वा आर्थिक हैसियत कम भएका हुँदैनन्, आरक्षणका नाममा हुनेखानेका छोराछोरीले नै अवसर लिने भएकाले जसका लागि लक्षित गरिएको हो, उसले त पाएकै छैनन्, त्यसैले आरक्षण हटाउनुपर्छ ।’’ चिकित्सा क्षेत्रमा विशेषज्ञ तह सम्वेदनशील हुने भएकाले योग्य व्यक्तिलाई मात्र छान्नुपर्ने हुन्छ । आफ्नो माग सुनुवाई नभए कडा आन्दोलनमा जानेसमेत युनियनले जनाएको छ । रासस
