Locals of Janaki Chowk in Janakpur staged a transport strike demanding supply of electricity on a regular basis. Locals of ward 10, 11 and 13 blocked the road by Janaki temple accusing NEA Chief, Jitendra Jha of turning deaf ear to their concerns. Agitated locals said that they would be blocking the road till 4 pm in the evening, and said if their demands got still neglected they would take their agitation to another level. According to locals , the electricity supply in these three wards have been interrupted since 10 days as the only transformer failed to bear the load. विद्युत आपुर्ति नियमित गर्नुपर्ने मागसहित जनकपुरका जानकीचोकबासीहरुले सडक जाम गरेका छन् । विद्युत प्राधिकरणका प्रमुख जितेन्द झालाई पटक पटक आग्रह गर्दा पनि ध्यान नदिएपछि जनकपुर वार्ड नं. १०, ११, र १३ का टोलबासी संयुक्तरुपमा जानकी मन्दिर अगाडीको सडक पुर्णतया जाम गरेका थिए । आन्दोलनकारीहरुले सडक साँझ ४ बजेसम्म जाम हुने र त्यसपछि पनि सुनुवाइ नगरे योजनावद्ध तरिकाले आन्दोलनलाई अगाडी बढाइने बताएको छन् । यी तीनवटा वार्डलाई थेगिरहेको जानकी चौकमा रहेको एउटा टान्सफर्मरले भोल्टेज सम्हाल्न नसकेपछि सो एरियाको विद्युत आपुर्ति अनियमित हुँदै आएको र विगत १० दिनदेखि स्थानियवासीको समस्या प्राधिकरणले नसुनेपछि आन्दोलन गर्न बाँध्य भएको स्थानीयको गुनासो छ ।
