The Election Commission has asked for the clarification with RJP leader Laxman Lal Karna on September 17 for violating election code of conduct after the beginning of the silent period. Karna was found to be asking for votes along with more than 100 cadres at Jagannath Rural Municipality-6 for his party’s candidate. The gathering was dispersed after the CoC monitoring team found them asking votes. The commission can even cancel the candidacy of the candidate if found violating code of conduct during the silent period. The commission has asked for the clarification with Karna within 24 hours.
