Chitwan/September 4 District Police Office has arrested Ram Kumar Shrestha, 33, of Bharatpur Municipality-8 on September 4 on charge of beating his wife, Laxmi Shrestha. Laxmi had filed a complaint against her husband saying that he was beating her everyday threatening her with life on September 4 leading to the arrest, SI Ram Prasad Pandey of Women and Children Service Centre (WCSC). According to her complaint, the accused beat her up on September 3 adding similar incidents in the past were mediated for compromise by the local people but she filed the complaint as the situation was getting intolerable for her. SI Pandey said that the police would move forward the case after investigation.
