A struggle committee formed to save a religious place in Garuda, Rautahat staged demonstration on Sep 9 in the town. The demonstration was organized demanding nationalization of the Shivanagar Mahadev Temple in Rautahat.According to the locals, the land where the temple was situated was usurped by its priest Krishna Dev Giri. The deeds of the temple clearly mentioned that the land belonged to the temple,however, the priest allegedly usurped it in 2058 BS. The demonstration was led by Province parliamentarian Kundan Kushwaha and went around the town starting from Durga Temple and ending at Kamhadev Sthan. The organizers warned of stronger protests if their demands were not met. जिल्लाको धार्मिक स्थल शिवनगर महादेव मन्दिरलाई सरकारीकारण हुनुपर्ने तथा महन्थले हत्य्ह्याएको करोडौँको जग्गा फिर्ताको माग सहित प्रदर्शन गरिएको छ । आइतबार दिउँसो महादेव स्थल बचाउ संघर्ष समितिको आयोजनामा गरुडा बजार देखि शिवनगर महादेव स्थान सम्म उक्त विशाल प्रदर्शन गरिएको हो ।प्रदेश सांसद कुन्दन कुशवाहाको नेतृत्वमा सैयौँको संख्यामा गरेका स्थानीयहरु बैनर,प्लेकार्ड,तूल सहित गरुडा स्थित दुर्गा मन्दिरको अगाडीबाट शुरुभई विभिन्न नारा लगाउँदै कमहादेव स्थानमा पुगेर कोण सभामा परिणत भएको थियो । २०२१ सालको नापीमा विश्वनाथ महादेव अर्थात शिवनगर महादे स्थानको नाउमा दर्ता कायम रहेको साविक गाविस महमदपुर को तीनकठ्ठा,तीनधुर र सोहि वडाको एक बिगाहा चारकठा चार धुर करोडौ मूल्यको जग्गा २०५८ साल ताका तत्कालिन मालपोतका कर्मचारीलाई मिलेर महन्थ गिरीले आफ्नो नाउमा दर्ता गराएको वक्ताहरुले सार्वजनिक गरेका थिए । शिवनगर महादेव स्थानको जग्गा महन्थ कृष्णदेव गिरीले पुनः महादेव स्थानको नाउँमा फिर्ता र मन्दिर सरकारीकारण न भए सम्म आन्दोलन जारी रहने संघर्ष समितिका अध्यक्ष विजय साह लगायतका वक्ताहरुले चेतावनी दिएका थिए ।
