Goons assault ward chair

Chairman of Ward No. 8 of Shuklagandaki Municipality-8 Krishna Regmi was physically assaulted by an unknown group on Friday night. The incident took place at around 10pm, following which Regmi was rushed to GP Koirala Memorial Hospital, according to Inspector Srawan Kumar BK at the Area Police Office, Belchautara. Regmi was later referred to Pokhara for further treatment. Meanwhile, police have arrested four suspects in relation to the incident. Investigation is under way to find the motive behind the attack, BK said. (RSS)
