Police on Thursday arrested 33-year-old Dhruvaraj KC of Aathbiskot-12 on the charge of attempting to rape on Wednesday night a 28-year-old married woman.

Police arrested KC on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim at Area Police Office Aathbiskot on Thursday. In the complaint she reported that KC attempted to rape her at her room on Wednesday night by entering her room forcibly. She also stated that he beat her while she tried to defend herself. Police found that KC was heavily intoxicated when they arrested him. Police sent him to Nepalgunj for medical examination. Police said that they would conduct further investigations on the matter after he was brought back from Nepalgunj.
