Businessmen protest against Police in Parsa

Businessmen from Parsa district have staged a protest by burning tyres in Telawe bridge after Police confiscated a truck carrying 25 tons of peas on January 23.

Police seized a vehicle with a number plate  NA 4 KHA 124 carrying 25 tons of peas from Telau bridge.  Police have said that the truck was seized because they were trying to take the peas to India in an illegal way.  Whereas the entrepreneurs have argued that the food was bought from Balaji Suppliers in Ranighat for 16 lakh 75 thousand rupees and exporting to Sandip Suppliers in Bahuarwa. They have said that they were forced to protest against the police because of their unnecessary interference. 

Police have arrested 7 protesters who are identified as a Niranjan Tiwari, Sonalal Shah, Nawal Kishor Shah, Damodar Tiwari, Chintu Tiwari, Rabi Gupta and Santosh Gupta.

Police have also misbehaved with some of the journalists who were collecting the news.
