A Bhutanese refugee woman has died after being beaten by her husband in Damak of Jhapa. Manamaya Tamang Rai sustained serious injury when her husband, 29-year-old Phulman Rai of Beldangi-2 Bhutanese Refugee Camp beat her during a dispute between the two on November 1. She later died while undergoing treatment at Birat hospital in Biratnagar on Saturday according to Inspector Khagendra Ekten of Area Police Office Damak. The deceased's body was handed to the family after post-mortem.
Meanwhile, DSP Shyamal Subba said that police filed murder case against the accused at District Court, Jhapa.
