Accountant, Nabin Karki working in Piple Secondary School, Khandbari, Sankhuwasabha has beaten a dalit woman after consuming alcohol. The incident occur at 8:00 PM on Sunday. 25-year-old Juna B.k. was seriously injured. Aftermath, she was taken to B.P.K.I.H.S, Dharan for further treatment.
Juna said that she was beaten when there was no one at home. Her husband Kubir Jung B.K. was also not at home. Karki, taking benefit of the moment hit badly to B.k. I was unconscious when he hit me badly using his foot, Says Juna. She was taken to B.P.K.I.H.S, Dharan when her treatment was not possible in District hospital, Khandbari. After giving first cash for buying the land, Karki refused to sell the land which was the major cause of incident. He used derogatory words before too, says Juna.
The condition of patient is improving says doctors of B.P.K.I.H.S. Juna’s father is asking for bitter punishment while police and locals are trying to solve the issue by talk. Though police arrested karki. “On oral complaint Karki is arrested. But futher procedure will be carried out after written complaint”, says DSP Shyam Saru Magar.
