Police on April 18 arrested 30-year-old Dipak Raut of Rajbiraj municipality-14 Saptari residing in Biratnagar metropolitan city-14 Jatuwa of Morang on the charge of raping a 14-year-old teenager by holding her captive.

The victim's family had reported to Area Police Office Rani that she went missing on February 18, 2019.

After a long search, in and outside the district, police found that the accused had brought the girl to Tilganga area of Kathmandu metropolitan city-9 and raped her by holding her captive. Police Police brought the accused to Morang from Kathmandu on April 19 informed DSP Ghanshyam Shrestha of DPO Morang.

The victim was sent to Biratnagar based Koshi Zonal hospital on the same day.
