The UML cadres were attacked in the night of November 1 when they had reached Majimtar in Jogimara VDC-9 to fill petrol in their motorbikes after the door-to-door campaign in Gorkha. The UCPN-M cadres carrying lathi had attacked UML cadres after seeing motorbikes with UML flags. UML cadres Dinesh Nepali and Bibek Regmi were injured in the incident. UCPN-M cadre Krishna Dallakoti was also injured in police lathi charge when police tried to take situation in control. The injured received treatment at local health centers. Meanwhile, UML has issued a press statement on November 2 accusing the NC cdares of thrashing UML cadres. UML cadre Nau Bahadur Darlami, 65, of Baseri in Kalleri VDC-6 was injured after NC cadres attacked him on October 31. He was brought to Manmohan Hospital in Kathmandu after his treatment was not possible in the district.
