Relatives of a 4-year-old girl who died during the course of treatment at District hospital, Jaleshwor padlocked the hospital. Shivani Kumari Yadav had died during the medical checkup.
Relatives and locals locked office of Medical Superintendent Dr. Rajiv Jha and other Doctors after the death of Shivani Kumari Yadav, the 4-year-old daughter of Pramod Rai Yadav of Jaleshwor Municipality-3, Khaira who was brought to the District Hospital, Jaleshwar for the treatment.
Shivani, who was ill, was admitted to district hospital Jaleshwar on Sunday morning for treatment. The relatives got aggressive after she died in the hospital premises where she was injected, after which she was referred to Zonal Hospital, Janakpur.
According to RadheShyam Ray, the deceased's Grandfather, she was admitted to hospital because of fever. The condition degenerated immediately after injection. The doctors involved in the treatment escaped after condition of the patient got worse. This showed the doctors used the wrong medicine.
Chairman Varun Dahal of ward no-2, Ward chairman of 3 Sanjay Pandey, and member of parliament Rani Sharman reached the hospital and demanded an investigation into the incident.
