Mayor Bechan Das has accused Pawan Mandal, Principal of Janata Namuna Secondary school, Belapatti who was punished by Municipality of vandalizing the municipality office on Wednesday.
According to the Mayor, Principal vandalized office by bringing a group of 30-40 people and he also locked office using children.
Mayor Das said the rented vehicle used by the municipality was damaged and windows of office along with motorcycle parked in the office were damaged. They fled after the police reached to an incident.
Mandal was transferred to another school by the municipality on the allegation of corruption in the school on April 18.
Disputes between the municipality and the principal following the transfer have affected the teaching of the school while teachers and students have been demonstrating from time to time.
