A person was critically wounded after being attacked by khukuri at Ghodtaar of Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality, Bhojpur, today.
The injured has been identified as Tejindra Basnet of Shadananda Municipality. Singaraj Rai and Suman Rai had assaulted Basnet with a khukuri while the latter was tending sheep.
The duo had attacked Basnet when he tried to retaliate after they tried to steal money from his pocket. Basnet, who received cuts and bruises on different parts of his body is receiving treatment at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. Police have launched a manhunt to nab the persons behind the incident.
