Locals of Besisahar Municipality-11 have obstructed the construction of Dardikhola Hydro-power Project after their demands were not met. 

The locals claim that the project started laying pipelines without paying the compensation. They have also accused the project of acquiring more land than they originally said they would. 

The locals have formed a struggle committee after their demands were not met. They have demanded drinking water and irrigation facility, transparency of the budget, in addition to compensation for their land and damage to their property.
