Nepalese beaten by Indian citizens

The situation in the Bhikhana Thori market area is now chaotic after an incident of assault on some Nepalese citizens by Indian citizens on Thursday became public. 

According to Area Police Office Thori, Rabi Sah, a resident of Vikhna Thori in India Ravi Sah had shown wrong direction to some Nepalese who had gone there to see the suspension. Irate Indiate citizens started beating Nepalese citizens when a woman from Thori showed them the right and shorter path to the market. The Indian citizens started beating all Nepalese citizens they found with wooden sticks. 5 persons including, Bishu Biata of Thori rural municipality-2, 53-year-old Kamal Khawas, 21-year-old Sadikshya Panta and 12 year-old Sushma Panta sustained injuries in the Indian citizens's attack.

APF inspector Amar Bahadur BK of APF Border outpost Thori said he rescued the Nepali citizens with the help of SSB. He also informed, he had requested Indian police at Sahadarba Thana to take action against the assailants.
