Police arrested 28-year-old Ramesh Yadav of Balara municipality-6 Mirjapur on August 25 on the charge of shooting 34-year-old Rakesh Kumar Singh of the same place, informed Area Police Office Balara.
A group of 3 armed men including Yadav who came on a motorbike, shot businessman Singh on August 21. They fled towards India following the incident. Singh's left hand was broken in the incident. He was referred to Birgunj for further treatment from Sarlahi district hospital.
The victim's father lodged a complaint against the assailants at Area Police office Balara on August 22. Police are looking for others involved in the shooting.
