Muslim community staged a symbolic protest in Sunsari carrying black umbrella protesting against the government's decision not to declare Bakar Id a public holiday.
Muslim communities gathered at a mosque near Bhutha market of Harinagar village and protested saying the government has neglected the main festival of the Muslim community.
People who gathered for special prayers in the mosque protested saying that their feast was neglected, said Chairperson and the Leader of Muslim Community Gaphar Ansari. They have also expressed their anger over those who advocate for Muslim rights in the center.
