Nine cadres of outlawed NCP led by Biplov have assaulted Parsuram Upadhayaya, a 25-year-old administrative officer of  Soru rural municipality on  Monday. They beat Parsuram up when he was traveling from headquarter Gamgadi towards Soru rural municipality. 

Parsuram was traveling with six other staff. The perpetrators had masks on their faces and they assaulted us as well when we tried to stop them, said Ratanlal Sahani, the agricultural technician of the same rural municipality. 

Police are deployed towards that area after getting the information of the assault. The arrangements are being made to send the injured officer to Nepalgunj for medical treatment through helicopter, said DSP Bhuwaneshwor Saha.
