Sanjay Thapa, an information technology officer at Tinpatan rural municipality, has been assaulted by a group of five youths on the night of October 17. Thapa was sleeping in his residence in the office of the rural municipality when he was assaulted by the group.
The perpetrators are identified as Rabin Basnet, Umesh Karki, Bishal Lama, Bhojraj Dahal and Ishowr Karki of the ward no.11 of the same rural municipality.
The group, which came with weapons, pressed Thapa's neck and kicked him with legs with the intention of killing. The rural municipality has denounced the attack through a statement on October 18.
