Police have not been able to arrest the youths involved in the assault of 22-year-old SP Bhatta. A group of six or seven youths of Dhangadi Sub-metropolis, on the night of October 23, had assaulted Bhatta about two hundred kilometers away from the Ward Police Office Dhangadi. Bhatta has eighteen stitches in the head, while his wrist is half cut. His little finger is cut into halves.
" We filed a complaint at the District Police Office Kailali on October 27 immediately after the son was discharged from the hospital, but the police have shown no urgency to arrest the accused," said Ghanshyam Bhatta, the father of the victim.
