Man accused of raping a minor arrested from Bhairahawa

Police have arrested 20-year-old Shankar Kumar of Jhimruk Municipality-7 Pyuthan on November 6 on the charge of raping a 14-year-old girl. The victim's family had filed the complaint on the same date stating that the accused made her elope with him by promising her of marriage and raped her in a hotel in Siddharthanagar Municipality-1 in Rupandehi.
The victim underwent a medical examination on November 6 at Bhim Hospital Bhairahawa.
