Residents of Alau in Parsa staged a demonstration along Birgunj-Pokhariya road section for two hours on Sunday demanding proper compensation for their land acquired by the government. They have acccused the government of acquiring 62 Bighas of land from local people without properly compensating them since the past 7 years. The protesters demanded the government to arrange communal settlement for those whose land were acquired by the government.
