Police arrested 34-year-old Govinda Rai of Shadananda Municipality-8 on December 21, on the charge of raping a 30-year-old woman.

The victim's party filed a complaint at District Police Office Bhojpur on November 20 stating that the accused raped the victim on the same day. 

The victim's medical examination was done at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan on November 22.

According to Inspector Pandav Kumar Rajvansi of District Police Office Bhojpur, police arrested the accused and further investigation is underway.
