Police, on February 1, arrested 35-year-old Biraju Chaudary of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolis-13 from ward number 16 of the Sub-Metropolis on the charge of raping a 24-year-old woman. The victim, on January 26, had filed a complaint of rape at the Area Police Office Tulsipur stating that the accused had raped her on January 25 by falsely promising her of marriage. The victim underwent a medical examination on January 26 at Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur.
