Rambabu Mandal of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan-18 who went seeking information from Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city was beaten by Ward Chairperson Ramshankar Paswan in front of Mayor Lalkishwor Sah on September 30.

Suspecting irregularities in the development works in the ward, Mandal and local Tapeshwar Thakur went to the sub-metropolitan office with a joint request for information.

The Ward chairperson manhandled Mandal when he was reading out the petition after the mayor asked him to read what information he had asked for, said victim Mandal.   

After the incident, Mandal has lodged a complaint against ward Chairperson Paswan in District Administration Office and District Police Office Dhanusha.
