45-year-old Sabitri Subedi of Modi Rural Municipality, Parbat filed a complaint of battering against ward chairperson Devendra Bahadur Chhetri on March 4.

The incident occurred during road expansion. Subedi said that the ward chairperson assaulted her on January 26 when she requested him to stop the work as her land was being encroached. 

Subedi filed a complaint at District Administration Office Parbat against the ward chairperson. In her complaint, she said ward chairperson's atrocities were intolerable.

According to Chief District Officer Kalpana Ghimire Nepal, discussions were held between both sides.  Under the coordination of Assistant Cheif District Officer Amrit Sharma, 3 members committee was formed to resolve the problem.
