A 17-year-old girl of Madhyaharshahi-6 has been seriously injured after Prem Prakash Mehata of Gautampur VDC-3 poured acid on her body on February 13. Prem Prakash poured acid on her body after she refused his love proposal, said police. The injured girl is undergoing treatment at ICU ward in the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, DSP Laksman Giri said. Mehata has been arrested the same day and charged with attempt to murder, DSP Giri added.
