Relatives of an Army Constable Parshuram Bhattarai of Sunsari Ramdhuni-3 serving in the Nepal Army's No. 2 Baahini Adda in Hile of Dhankuta has demanded an investigation into his death suspecting foulplay.
38-year-old Bhattarai who reportedly fell sick on May 19, died in Birat Medical College in Biratnagar on Monday while undergoing treatment. Relatives however suspect foulplay behind Bhattarai's death as they saw bruises on different parts of his body.
The relatives have refused to take the body with them, demanding a fair investigation. The body has been sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for a postmortem.
Police from Bhedetar returned the relatives, who walked from Sunsari to Dhankuta on Tuesday morning to see the site where Bhattarai was claimed to be found lying after he fell sick.
