Protest at Maitighar Mandala over Rukum West incident

The Joint Political Dalit Struggle Committee Nepal has staged a demonstration at Maitighar on Wednesday against the killing of Dalit youths in Soti of Rukum West. On May 23, Nawaraj BK and 5 other youths were reportedly killed by the locals of Soti Village of West Rukum over a dispute related to inter-caste marriage. Six others youths were injured in the incident.
Dalit Rights activists and the victims' families have been demanding a fair investigation into the incident, harsh punishment to the perpetrators, and compensation to the victims' families among others.
