The Joint Political Dalit Struggle Committee staged a demonstration in Gorkha against the killing of Dalit youths in West Rukum over an inter-caste affair. Protesting against the incident, the committee held a protest rally at Gorkha on Wednesday.

The committee has demanded action against the perpetrators and compensation to the victim's family. They demanded that the six murdered people be declared cultural martyrs and that caste discrimination be ended.
