A complaint has been filed against Umesh Yadav (22), Mukesh Yadav (21) of Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan-8 and ward chairperson of the same ward, Bikram Yadav (60) in accusation of attempting to rape a 22-year-old woman on 19 June 2020. The complaint was filed at the District Police Office on 19 June 2020.
The accused Bikram Yadav had also attacked the victim’s father-in-law when he came to rescue her. The injured father-in-law was treated at Kalaiya Hospital and later taken to the ICU ward of National Medical College of Birgunj.
According to the victim’s family member, one of the accused Umesh had also slapped her.
The victim’s family had appealed with INSEC’s representative Bhola Nath Paudel for referring them for justice since ward chairperson was involved in it.
According to DSP Gautam Mishra of District Police Office, both the parties were brought together and investigation is ongoing.
