Farmers of Bhimdatta Municipality-13 Kanchanpur protested demanding that they should be allowed to bring manure from India as there was a shortage of manure in the fields. Local farmers have been protesting by locking the suspension bridge since Tuesday morning. Local farmers said that they were compelled to agitate as there is no fertilizer to put in the fields and as the government has not yet made other viable arrangements. According to the agreement between the police and the locals, they will be allowed to bring half a Kattha of urea manure till July 13. Discussions are underway between the administration and the agitating farmers for coordination.
