Part-time professors have set fire to 2 tables, a chair, an electric attendance machine, and the nameplate of the campus chief. They have also padlocked the office of the campus chief and chanted slogans with placards calling for equal pay for work and an end intellectual exploitation.
The Nepal Part-time Professors' Association has been demanding the appointment on a contract basis for those who have been teaching part-time for a long time.
There are 42 part-time professors in the Mahendra Multiple Campus and the association has warned to padlock the classrooms and the accounting department of the campus if their demands are unmet.
