More than 350 employees of Narayani Hospital in Birgunj resigned after an assault on health workers demanding action against the attackers, compensation and security.
Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Madan Upadhyaya, said that health workers were active in the treatment of the infected for 24 hours and after the activities like obstruction in the flow of services and assault on health workers, employees forcefully resigned collectively. Narayani Hospital has so far treated more than 1,100 corona infected people, including Narayani Temporary COVID Hospital. More than 50 health workers working to treat the infected have also been diagnosed with corona infection.
