Nepali Congress affiliated Tarun Dal and Nepali Students Union (NSU) staged a joint protest at the main entrance of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan on Wednesday demanding immediate operation of Covid-19 Hospital and postponement of the senate meeting. They accused Dr Gyanendra Giri, the vice-chancellor of the academy and other officials, of not paying attention to the improvement of the academy and demanded to remove the problems in the academy and provide all-accessible treatment.
Police stopped the cadres of Tarun Dal and NSU who reached the main entrance of the Institute from Dharan-18 Buddha Chowk with a procession. At the same time, there was a scuffle between the protestors and the police.
