A shot was fired targeting the Police of Bakhari Border Outpost of Armed Police Force (APF) stationed near the Khadam river in Biratnagar Metropolitan City, Ward-16, Daraiya Basti at around 9 am on August 12. After the incident, the Indian police arrested a man named Sikandar and are searching for two others involved in the incident.
The firing is suspected to have taken place from India as the Area Police Office, Rani, and APF have been tightening surveillance and arresting smugglers discouraging illegal smuggling of clothes, gold, drug, and others.
Previously, the police have been pelted with stones several times during the night.
