Police opened a round of blank fire after the locals of Rapti Municipality-1 broke prohibitory order on the first day in Rapti Municipality-1. According to Assistant Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma, the police opened blank fire after the locals made the crowd disobeying the order. He informed that the police opened blank fire to control the situation where the crowd gathered were about to clash. Police have arrested one person for inciting the crowd. According to the Area Police Office, Bhandara, the arrestee was 32-year-old Thakur Bartaula. The crowd gathered to bring back a stone worshipped in Piple Temple after Saraswati Pun of the same municipality took away the stone. The clash took place after the security personnel stopped the locals who had gathered to bring back the stone.
