National Unity Campaign staged a demonstration protesting against the murder of a priest and demanded the resignation of Lal Babu Raut, Chief Minister of Province 2.
An unidentified group killed Shri Ram Sah, a priest of the Hanuman Temple at Khesarhiya in Madhav Narayan Municipality of Rautahat, on August 19. However, the perpetrator of the incident is not identified yet, therefore the campaign has been protesting in Janakpur, Rautahat, Birgunj, and other places demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister.
Rautahat coordinator of the campaign, Shankar Das, said that Chief Minister Raut, who could not provide security to the people, should resign from his post.
