Police have arrested a health worker from Birgunj on the charge of black marketing prohibited Remdesivir, a medicine that is given to COVID-19 patients. Tahir Hussain Ansari, a resident of Bara who was working as a health worker in a private clinic of Birgunj was arrested with 9 vile of Remdesivir.
Police have not released further details as the investigation is underway. Ansari had claimed that he buys per vile for Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 and sells it for Rs 30,000 to Rs 32,000 for the critically ill COVID-19 patients.
