Youths of Melung Municipality-4, Dolkaha, padlocked the municipality office on Thursday. A group of local youths padlocked the municipality office with various demands like the municipality should implement Vedapu drinking water project (1,2,3) as it is with a special grant from the federal government, the economic progress report from fiscal year 073/74 to 077/78, the details of the furniture purchased in the ward office in 073/074, 074/075, the progress report of the livestock and agriculture office and the program details related to COVID-19 to be made public.
The youths stated that they were compelled to padlock the municipality office after Rural Municipality Chairman Nar Bahadur Shrestha ignored their demands several times. Similarly, Police have also arrested some youths involved in padlocking the municipality office.
